Please give me the link to your photopage Beauregards, I cannot find the pictures you refer to.

Let’s hope this forum can contribute to less problems for HT candidates, weather or not they choose STRIP or FUE. Me, myself and I would not hesitate to choose any of the techniques in the future, however, I would really investigate until I found the perfect clinic.

I’ve seen Dr.Hussain, his website is “OK” but nothing more. I’ve seen better sites and worse sites. Many clinics in Sweden have terrible websites.

Yes, a lot of people follows this discussion. Since you only recommend one clinic the options to choose from aren’t too many :D

    Hei Whyatt,

    whyatt wrote: folicle,

Men men, sån äro branschen.

    Beauregards,

Judging by the URL, it seems Dr. Hussain is developing a new website. Here’s the old one:http://www.myhairclinic.com/eng/pictures.html. Still can’t find your pictures, though?

    Hej folicle and whyatt,

This should be the correct link(s):

    http://www.myhairclinic-development.com/en/patient10-en.html

    http://myhairclinic.com/eng/patient10.html

Should be pictures where the face can be seen, so no trics which if often the case when showing (patients ?) scalps

Didn´t visit myself during the last year Dr. Hussain website as there is no longer need fore and don´t suffer of any significant hair loss.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Trikologi: have been visting, before HT, Maria Clinic (trikologi method), this has jus been a waste of a lot of time and kronors without any result.

As a matter of fact since i decided for the FUE HT (x2), I don´t use any pills (Proscar), lotions…their effectivness is generally low and depend from patient to patient…at the end the input (moneywise) after years will be almost the same as a HT in a low cost country such as India, Pakistan and especailly if one goes for FUE.

With FUE every single hairsac is extracted from the spot(s) of your scalp where the donor area is good; strip cannot offer this very fine “selection” (forgot to mention this advantage in earlier postings). Not to mention the possible risk of a longer scar.

Finally, regarding, the deceiving results of patients shown on Dr. Hussaian website, I can only say that result depends on the number grafts transplanted and the “degree of baldness” before the HT. Only 1.000 grafts of a -before- complete bald scalp won’t make a substantial difference…however things will definetely look different after 5.000 -6.000 grafts.

I know Dr. Hussain a very correct man who describes things as they are and never make false promisses to potential patients…only estimations of possible results which seems to turn out quite accurate after HT.

However it would be very recommendable if more patients could report about their respective HT experiences at different clinics. As I was very happy with my clinic for the HT, there was no reason that I should not return (cfr. restaurants).

Maybe that on other international forums regarding hairloss and hair transplants this kind of experiences and comment on different clinics might be found and this for the benefit for thousands of men suffering of baldness and spending money on worthless medication or which cannot decide about a HT.

But maybe this is just a matter of time for this website / forum.

    Hóla.

Okey, your results are good. Your hairloss pattern seem to be a bit rare, right?

It looks like if your crown is thinning a bit, any concerns?

Yes, “trikologi” as your refer to might be a usable technique milking money but not fighting genetic hair loss.

Effectiveness of finasteride is very individual but overall not “low” if the user started early enough, surely it will come a day when the substance wont help anymore, but it could slow down baldness for many years.

I will look for more results from your hero, Dr Hussain! Once again, your opinion on STRIP is a bit unfair..really.

Do you have any fresh info about Dr Hussains price per graft?

This has been an extensive shift of opinions, and I will only add a few comment. My position is the Medical Director of the New Hair Clinic in Lund (not Malmoe!). In general I agree with the Administrator. Since he is goinig to comment upon our clinic, it might be a little delicate to say this, but so far I have found very few (if any) statements from whyatt that are opposite to my own opinion or knowledge. Certainly that goes for what has been said about strip surgery: In wrong hands, possible slaughter. In correct usuage a very usuful, safe and priceworth technique. We do appr. 350 such procedures every year, so I speak from experience. We also do FUE every week, but I ALWAYS try to get the patient into strip, if I cannot see any advantage of doing FUE for him.

It is easy to forget that FUE is a surgical technique, and therefore a subject of individual, biologicical responce from the patient in the healing process. Allthough scars might be of minimal practical influence in FUE, they are seldome completely abscent. If you shave and look really good you can see some shift in pigmentation, especially if the harvest has been extensive. In some cases, white spots are quite obvious, and might even be a probleme in shaving the head. Dr Rassman from the New Hair Institute showed an example of that some years ago on his blogg.

I will not comment about the work beeing done on my own clinic, and I will not denye that also this clinic has produces terrible scars, pitting and wrongly directed hair growth. As mentioned, surgery deals with patients showing different capacity of healing and cooperation, and even with the best technique and a fully cooperative, non-smoking patient, a complication (like infection) sometimes occures. What I can assure is that we try our best, and we do change our technique if we think that there is a better alternative. We used to do the implantation with a pointy scalpel blade. It was difficult (but not impossible) to direct the hair growth with that device. Now we use the same, smaller implanter for FUE and strip grafts, and thus are able to controle angles much easier. And like dr Husseine, we do understand the psychological aspect of hair loss, and try hard to meet the patients need without taking advantage of his vulnurable situation. Cerainly, now and then we fale also in this field, after all we are only human beeings.

/Mats Ingers, New Hair Clinic, Lund, Sweden/

    Hej Whyatt and Dr. Ingers,

First of all tnx to Mats to give his highly appreciated opinion as he is as a doctor probably the only medical expert in this forum. Very correct that Dr. ingers recommend strips if FUE is financially out of reach for the patient.

We ow Dr. Ingers and his clinic our respect to share with us his opinion and experiences.

Strip is safe, less expensive and maybe supply satisfying results for small HT.

The comments are in line with those made by Whyatt…..and slightly in favour of strip….I´m quite a bit surprised that Dr. Ingers is coming into the forum just “out of the blue”…or on invitation…or is he a very passionate reader of the forum….

I’m still waiting for my FUE scars, the hair on my scalp from the donor area on the side of the scalp still make a nice dark blond colour, no shifts in pigmentation occured…hope

Possible patients now have pobably more ease in their decision whether to go for FUE in function of their needs (baldness pattern, time schedule and financial possibilities.

Regarding the remarks of whyatt regarding my hairloss pattern, I can only comment that:

    – situation is slightly different now because their is more hairgrow now after HT;

    – as a non-expert, I cannot comment my own hairloss pattern…which is very individually

    for each of us;

    – when having HT at Dr. Hussain, he asked me where I would prefer to have the

implanted grafts and I deciced for the top and front part of the scalp where hairloss

    pattern was more obvious.

So the crown is till in “original” condition and when I feel for it I will go again to Pakistan for a third HT…but just now I still feel good about the quantiy of hair on the crown area…

About finasteride contining products such as propecia and proscar: I tried for almost one year but without any effect…apart for the side effects.

In any case I would decide again for FUE because I liked the result ….and it was affordable…I would never have been able to pay the US of European prices for FUE HT.

I got 2 FUE and I’m very satisfied. No one can see that I got 2 HT. Wonder very much if 2 or 3 strip/HT provide same invisibility as a couple FUE’s. In my case FUE made it possible to select and pick exactly the amount of grafts in function of their individual presence Thanks to that, the quantity left is still good for at least one more HT…don´t think that this is possible with strip.

Whyatt to reply to your question, for the actual prices have look at Dr. Hussain’s website. For the 2nd HT I got the discount applicable to all returning patients. So at the end I paid 2,75 EUR /graft.

Probably that a 3rd HT would cost (me) more but is not actual now. My feeling factor is -for the moment- pretty good.

Finally, I don´t feel spending more time in discussions for or against FUE…I will let this over to the surgeons.

The only reason i participated in the forum was to report about my experience..not knowing that this would result in an extensive exchange of opinion between mainly the administrator and myself (both non-medic´s and as such not qualified).

    Bye for now

Thank you for your contributions, I’m sure a lot of readers didn’t know about Dr.Hussain until you entered this forum and posted information about him, so perhaps your third HT will be the cheapest one after all? :D

I would appreciate if you created your own story in the “mitt håravfall” section supplying some of your own photos pre- and post surgeries. I can only hope you do this.

I´m quite a bit surprised that Dr. Ingers is coming into the forum just “out of the blue”…or on invitation…or is he a very passionate reader of the forum….

    – Mats has been a member since december 2007 which probably makes him a “passionate and highly qualified reader of the forum with a commercial connection to the subject”.

I hope we hear from you again, 51-year old male, bisou!

Actually my taking part on this forum is depending on my working situation. I am not the surgeon doing the job on NHC, I am the communicater (and also the medical director of the clinic, thereby bearing the final responsibility). In my opinion, to offer good treatment in this special field, at least 50% of the total time, spent on every patient should be information. My personal consultations usually will take 90 minutes, and it is not uncommen that a patient needs to see me more than one time, or have additional explenations by phone or e- mail. The administrative “heart” of NHC (the office) is served full time by three persons, all of us capable of dealing with different aspects of hair loss. Pia is the coordinator, with an amazing memory for names and details. As some of you might have observed, our web-site is much better run now than some monthes ago. This is because Jenny has got this important part on her desk. Without this crew we could never find time to evaluate results and analysing orur methods. But since I also have to spend a lot of time answering mail questions, or simply communicating our patients, there sometimes will be long periods elapsing between my activities on this excellent forum. So if you really want a specific answer, especially if you have been treated in NHC, it is more safe to mail me directely.

I think this patient picture have been deleted from the website. I really wonder why he did that…perhaps the result wasnt too good ( not bad, but too many cm2 compared to number of grafts). I also feel the pictures are getting bit old. He should update the site with new pictures. I know he was going to create a new website, but no changes yet after these months.

Have anyone contacted Hussain regarding info on hairtransplants and general comments? He was active on the norwegian board, but its been a while since he last posted there…pitty really as he had some good contributions there.

I also feel your comment Samedi regarding his work was bit unfair. No doctor can make 2700 grafts to be 5000 and you have to count the cm2 vs grats ratio when judging the final result. This is valid to all hairtransplants.

Yes, too bad he deleted that specific webpage since it raises suspicion concerning his seriousness.
New pics are now available at Hussain`s website. Any thoughts?
