Jag ifrågasatte Dr Koray rekommendation att använda Finasteride då jag tidigare ätit under 4 år men slutat efter biverkningar.
Svaret jag fick:
“You are using Lipogaine , which contents minoxidil. Because of this you have to stop lipogaine 4 weeks before operation. You can use it again 4-6 weeks after surgery. This medication does strengthen your telogen (weak) hair. If you stop this medication, your telogen hair will be weak again. This is why we recommend to take finasteride during the first months of surgery, so that you protect your original hair. After a few months you can stop finasteride and go ahead with lipogaine. Side effects of finasteride appear earliest after taking the medication for 6 months. You can use finasteride 6-8 months and switch to lipogaine afterwards.”
Så med tanke på att jag kommer behöva pausa med Lipogaine så bör jag köra finasteride åtminstone en kortare period. Jag kan köpa detta resonemanget. Huruvida biverkningar kan uppstå tidigast efter 6 månader låter jag vara osagt.
